ObM,
Thanks for your inquiry, you caught me doing a press release so I'll respond immediately.
You may be unaware that I am the CEO of a new party called the Republican Democrats Inc.
See our website at
www.republicandemocrats.org.au for full info.
We launched and were about to be registered but someone called an election! That meant registration was cut off, so we decided to field Senate candidates anyway. In Qld, that's me.
Check me out on the website and read our policies and in particular, have a hard look at our Democratic Platform.
We want tough border protection with more ships etc but a higher intake from camps and a humane and compassionate reception on our mainland for asylum seekers.
We are against the stupid internet filter and want the NBN and it kept in public hands.
Only the Greens want an ETS which is unexplainable to anyone else. We agree climate change is real, but do not share the Greens certainty that it is human-caused. We will work towards carbon pollution reduction in all its forms but in a sensible manner which will not destroy our economy or lock in out-dated technologies. We will release a policy on this, later.
We support registered partnership arrangements for same-sex couples. See the website.
Like what we stand for? Or don't? Tell me.
Regards,
Peter Pyke
Senate Candidate for Queensland
CEO Republican Democrats Inc.
